| These posters were distributed by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Oman and the Occupied Arabian Gulf. The Front aimed at overthrowing rule by hereditary sheikhs in the Persian Gulf area and regarded Britain as a dangerous imperialist power. Since 1968, it had been spreading propaganda - and rebellion - among tribesmen in the Sultan of Oman's Dhofar province |
