| This is a picture taken by Frank Hurley who was the official photographer on Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition. This picture was actually taken a year after the ill-fated expedition to help illustrate the difficulty of the journey made by Shackleton to get help for his crew on Elephant Island. |
