| Painted in 1824 by the artist Augustus Earle who was inexplicably left ashore by his ship whilst on transit to the USA. He had to wait a while until the next ship came along - just as well he had his painting materials with him. His remarkable journey took him to many other interesting and unexpected stops along the way. |
