Mid-Eighteenth Century Map of Caribbean


By the mid 18th Century, as this map shows, most of the Caribbean islands were divided among the European powers. Spain's possessions are shown in green, Britain's in red and France's in yellow. Two of the Virgin Isles were Danish and three of the Antilles were Dutch.
