• Defending Victoria
This is a site detailing the military history of Victoria in Australia. Despite some rather garish colour schemes, this site has some very interesting photos and prints from the colonial era.
  • Australian War Memorial
A site full of information, pictures, data, sounds and videos relating to the Australian military experience. The key role played by the Australian armed forces in fighting on behalf of the British Empire makes this site a most invaluable one for the researcher or interested party. Australians turned up in most corners of the British Empire at some point or other.
  • The Electronic Journal of Australian and New Zealand History
An online academic journal with some seriously heavy duty articles on the history of these former colonies. The articles may be too academic for some, but they do cover some important imperial titles. This is a nicely designed site that will be of interest to the serious student and scholar of the Empire.
