George Washington and Battle of Jumonville Glen

Jumonville was actually the name of a French leader who had come to discuss spheres of control in the Ohio valley. It is unclear what happened but Jumonville was killed in an ill-tempered meeting with the British under George Washington. This act was regarded as an atrocity by the French and launched the beginning of the French-Indian War which would last for another seven years.
