The Tudor Family of Henry VIII

This 1572 painting by Lucas de Heere was commissioned by Elizabeth to remind people of her legitimacy within the Royal Line. It is interesting to see that her half-sister Mary is prominently accompanied by her Spanish husband as if to insinuate some kind of disloyalty to England.
