Surgeon Andrew Acres Stoney


Surgeon Andrew Acres Stoney transferred from the 94th Foot to the Scots Greys on 26 June 1872. He is listed as Surgeon-Major in the 1873-4 Army List. In this 1872 photo he wears the dress uniform of the Scots Greys but with a medical department pouch-belt. The badges on his collar indicate the rank of lieutenant-colonel. He has a medal for his service in the Indian Mutiny.
