| Finch lived at Berkhamsted Place where he was a benefactor of the town. He and his wife organised the rebuilding of Thomas Bourne School. He was Colonel of the 24th from 1856 until his death in 1861 at the age of 69. The painting, completed in 1856, is by Henry Windham Phillips. |
