This man wears the red tunic of a member of the Corp of Drums with yellow collar and lace of regimental pattern. It is white with red diamond shapes and edged with blue lines. The shoulder straps are also edged with the same lace and there is white piping around the base of the collar and down the front of the tunic. See Bandsman and Bugler 1868.
