Officers Collar Badges c1890

The Sphinx badge was worn by several other regiments but the Battle Honour MARABOUT was special to the Dorsets. The green enamel was used as both the 39th and 54th regiments had green facings before the amalgamated regiment was ordered to wear white in 1881.
