Mounted Band 1899


The mounted band of the Earl of Chester’s Yeomanry perform on the Roodee in Chester. In this photo, published in the Navy & Army Illustrated of 1899, they wear dress uniform, and the kettle drums are covered with embroidered red drum banners.
