The bimetal glengarry badge is shown here with a gilt waist-belt clasp. Officers and other ranks wore the same pattern clasp but differed in quality. From 1885 until 1903 it was in white metal or silver. The design was based on the clasp worn by the London Scottish. The date when it was first worn is not clear.
