The blue Regimental Colour displays the 19 battle honours of the CTH, also repeated on the other side. The honours are mostly for World War Two. The only First World War honour SOUTH WEST AFRICA 1915 is the topmost honour on the right side of the wreath. The wreath is a combination of thistles and Disa Uniflora, the symbolic flower of the Cape Province. The Colour is attached to a pole which has a Springbok at the top instead of the Royal Crest.
This Colour was presented to the Cape Town Highlanders by the Commandant-General of the South African Defence Force, General Rudolf Hiemstra on the Grand Parade, Cape Town, on 12 March 1966. Colours were also presented to the Cape Town Rifles (Dukes) and the Regiment Boland.
