Kilid Bahr Fort

Kilid Bahr Fort was located on the Northern, European side of the Dardanelles Straits at their narrowest point. This ship's eye view gives an indication of how the fortifications and settlements appeared from the Allied Naval crews vantage point. Kilid Bahr was heavily bombarded although due to the minefields not being cleared, no Allied ships were able to reach even this point of the Narrows.
