Commemorating Gallipoli


This 1920 photograph shows New Zealand troops gathering to commemorate their comrades who died at Gallipoli. The shared Anzac experiences here would be key foundational stories to what would soon become the Dominions of Australia and New Zealand and then nation states in their own right within the life times of many of the survivors of the Gallipoli Campaign.
