| Full-dressed Trumpeters of the King’s Troop are inspected by the RSM accompanied by the Provost Bombardier who both wear no.2 dress in this photo taken at Guildford c1980. The trumpeters will announce the start of the display by sounding a fanfare. The quality of this reproduction makes it difficult to determine the colour of the trumpet banner but it is most likely dark blue. Further along the line are other gunners also in dismounted dress uniforms holding poles with pennons. These men will stand in the display area and act as markers for the gun teams. |
