| In this photo from Robin Hodges’ book British Army Badges published in 2005, Trumpet Major Rod Jeffries of the King’s Troop wears full dress and displays his medals which include his MBE and Meritorious Service Medal (MSM) which has a maroon ribbon with a white central stripe and white edges. Also a campaign medal for Northern Ireland, a UN medal and a Long Service Good Conduct medal. His uniform is embellished with gold cord whereas the trumpeter on the left, with her back to us, has the other ranks’ jacket with yellow cord and coloured trumpet cords. |
