Turkish Artillery


Turkish soldiers and their military prowess had been seriously underestimated by the Allied forces landing on Gallipoli. Far from being a backward force, they were well trained, used good quality equipment and had good leadership, mostly. Their conditions for the long campaign deteriorated due to the poor infrastructure and inefficient supply chains, but as a soldier, the Turk fought well!
