This photograph was actually taken from the River Clyde after the first failed landing. If you look carefully you can see dead and wounded Hampshires and Munster Fusiliers lying on the Lighter to the front. Further up, a line of Dublin Fusiliers can been seen trying to get cover behind a low ridgeline.
