Council Hall Ibadan, 1931

Dr Glover mentions that the Council Hall at Ibadan was designed and built by "Taffy" Jones of the Public Works Department. Presumably he knew Taffy Jones well! These pictures give a good example of the modernisation of Nigeria undertaken during the 1920s and 1930s as the British sought to provide an administration and infrastructure for the increasingly important colony.
