Men of the King’s Own Scottish Borderers march through the gate at the barracks at Berwick-upon-Tweed, all in no.1 dress ceremonial. The Colour Party is in charge of the Regimental Colour carried by an ensign (2nd Lieutenant). The Colour was presented to the regiment in 1996 and is the final Regimental Colour of the KOSB which ceased to exist as an independent Battalion in 2006.
The ensign is flanked by two Colour-Sergeants who are armed with SA80 rifles with bayonets fixed. All ranks carry rifles at the slope, as opposed to the former SLR (replaced c1989) which was carried by the grip at the soldiers’ right side.
