The Royal Navy was an enormous service with ships being posted to all corners of the empire and beyond. Keeping track of where these ships were posted is a difficult task. These pages are designed to help give you some idea of which particular ship was likely to be where and in what year. The Royal Navy divided the world up into stations and posted ships of varying sizes and capabilities to them accordingly. It is my intention to make this section as complete as possible and to cross-reference the ships with a suitable picture and information where possible. However, it will take some time to do this.
